Working for a global travel technology business, the Software Implementation Project Manager / Implementation Manager / Technical Project Manager role involved project managing software integration implementations for global customers, mostly in the UK and North America.

Implementations take 2 to 4 weeks and you’ll co-ordinate the work of various technical, implementation, testing, business and operations teams, along with customer teams to deliver successful implementations.

This is a 6-month contract (to the end of December) and is OUTSIDE IR35. The role is remote based, with occasional meetings in London. The work is mostly in the UK business day, with occasional US customer meetings late in the afternoon.

The Software Implementation Project Manager / Implementation Manager / Technical Project Manager will:

* Develop a strong understanding of how the technology works and how external customers use their technical solutions
* Work with Technical Engagement to initiate and then manage the process for the integration
* In collaboration with the customer, plan technical implementation including rigorous testing
* Manage and resolve all technical issues as part of the implementation process
* When appropriate seek support from Product/Engineering, and use this to grow own capability in resolving issues
* Regularly update customers on progress as well as prompt them to complete actions
* Work on multiple implementations in parallel, managing your time effectively
* Respond to customer questions in a timely fashion
* Proactively look for opportunities to improve our technical solutions, feeding this back to the Product Management team
* Maintain an accurate and up-to-date status for implementations
* Regularly and clearly communicate overall status of your implementations to your peers, manager and senior leadership
* As part of the go-live process complete a formal handover with the Customer Experience team to transition the partner into standard operation
* In agreement with Customer Experience, when a partner is live, provide short-term hyper-care support to increase implementation success

Candidates for the Software Implementation Project Manager / Implementation Manager / Technical Project Manager role must have:

* Previous experience in a project management role, delivering software implementations for customers
* Some experience of APIs (not coding level, but prior experience of API integrations)
* Very strong communicator and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working with external customers
* Comfort managing the resolution of complex technical problems
* Any experience of travel, hospitality or entertainment sector software is an advantage, but not essential
