Product Manager – Publishing
Online publishing is broken. Publishers want consumers to subscribe to them and only them for a fixed and large price compared to free content. But they need to monetise somehow. I’m working with a business whose product will solve that problem – letting consumers pay what they want, when they want and at a miniscule price.
I’m working with an early-stage start-up with a B2B and B2B2C proposition who will redefine how all content online is paid for. It’ll help create a personal relationship with the consumer that advertising could never do. They need a Product Manager who can get their head round online subscriptions and payments for online content – be it publishing, podcasts or even on demand TV.
They are a small team and would love to speak to you if you are curious and have ideas that you just can’t get done. They’ll give you full autonomy to get the job done, end of.
It’s a super flat structure where everyone has a voice.
The product manager will:
*Define and develop a product strategy for their current products.
*Optimise the products and use data analytics and audience research to help improve the strategy.
*Build and maintain a product roadmap and backlog
*Work with stakeholders, delivery partners, suppliers, and customers.
*Understand the business needs.
*Normal Product Manager stuff…
The product manager will have:
*Experience with online publishing, payments and/or online advertising would be amazing!
*A good understanding of consumer facing products, with an understanding of dual-facing products.
*Ability to work in a small-scale business environment
*Direct experience with optimising the performance of a product
*Ability to plan and forecast product budget and deliver within that budget
*A good knowledge of third-party tools and services available for product improvement, optimisation, analytics, user research.
This is a great opportunity for a Product Manager looking to join a start up that has great potential to expand to different markets.
