Head of Product – Mobile Fintech

I am looking for a Head of Product / Product Lead / Product Director for an app first B2C investment business, think Freetrade for property investment. Big ‘financial inclusivity’ points!
The Head of Product / Product Lead / Product Director will join the founding team as the first product hire to define the product strategy and roadmap, build a team, implement feature delivery, and drive a product first environment. With an existing outsourced tech team, you’ll help the incoming Tech Lead bring engineering in house as well.
You’ll enjoy the benefits of joining a privately owned 50-person organization but the excitement of a sub 10-person start-up business at period of early stage, high growth. They have already Product Market Fit and are spending the rest of the year going through regulatory checks and readying the product for mass market adoption.
The Head of Product will be responsible for:
. Driving product development and the product roadmap.
. Developing a mass market customer proposition.
. Develop a deep understanding of the needs of the audience.
. Align stakeholders, direct the product roadmap, prioritise features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with wider business.
. Defining, hiring, coaching and mentoring a full team of product managers.
. Foster a culture of testing, data-driven decision making, and accountability for metrics and results.
. Staying hands on – the role will come with line management of product managers but in the early days it’ll just be you.
The Head of Product will have:
. Have a strong background consumer mobile app and/or fintech product management experience
. Product team leadership experience
. Achieved success delivering consumer facing products that drive real user value and business financial goals.
. Leveraged both user experience and AB testing to find product/market fit.
. You create structure out of ambiguity and have a pragmatic “can do” and “make it happen” attitude in a collaborative way.
This is a great opportunity to join one of the most exciting names in FinTech as they plan to build a sustainable, mass market app as well recognised FreeTrade or Binance.
Working location: Remote first with the flexibility to come to the Clerkenwell office. It’ll probably be approx. once a week for collaboration but not one day a week.
