An established yet growing retail business in the luxury market on a global scale are are looking for a Head of Product to take ownership of and bring expertise to the product function. You’d get full autonomy of customer acquisition, marketplace and customer care. You’d get the excitement of a young business with the security of a privately owned business with a new board of directors who are fully investing into tech and innovation.
Their ecommerce sales have grown from £2m in 2019 to a forecast of £8m this year. The Head of Product / Product Lead / Senior Product Manager will have a team of PMs to start with and will hire more within six months – coaching and monitoring the future product leaders is a big part of the role too.
The Head of Product / Product Lead / Senior Product Manager will:
. Own the product roadmap for one core ‘business pillar’, as well as overseeing and mentoring a team of senior PMs responsible for product roadmaps across the other two pillars
. To drive and oversee the internationalisation of product and technology
. To have ultimate accountability for technology product performance
. To coach and mentor a team of Senior Product Managers, and more broadly to educate the business on product management, cultivating a culture of innovation
. Define requirements, goals and success metrics for respective product launches,
. Work closely with Engineering, Product & Marketing to identify opportunities to leverage your team’s learnings
. Serve as a cross-functional leader to collaborate with various teams to drive new product initiatives
The Head of Product / Product Lead / Senior Product Manager must:
. Have a strong background within product management in any consumer sector, such as eCommerce, marketplaces, travel, media, fintech, entertainment, etc.
. Experience with the discovery aspect of product management.
Understand and identify consumer needs and demonstrate a real empathy towards the customer
. Be a commercially aware decision maker
. Be creative, innovative and curious
. Have experience of working in a fast moving, agile environment
. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be comfortable communicating with colleagues at all levels and influence at a high level and able to make a real impact
