Working for a large household brand who provide media and content for sports obsessive consumers, the Head of Product Growth/ Product Director / Product Lead (Sports Media Publishing) role involves leading a team of 10 product managers, designers and insight specialists to build sports media experiences that delight consumers. This will include the latest real time sports news, data, insight and statistics.
The organisation is at the leading edge of affiliate innovation and are constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation and methods of working.
This will be a hybrid role based 2days per week in west London, the rest working remotely.
The Head of Product Growth/ Product Director / Product Lead (Sports Media Publishing) will
– Lead a cross-functional product team of 9 across Product, Design and Customer Research
– Manage relationships and work closely with Tech, Marketing and Commercial leadership
– Build a deep understanding of customers and products
– Establish a view of the broader market and current trends (industry and cross-industry)
– Create product strategies to achieve business and customer goals
– Act as a product evangelist, continuously optimising ways of working
– Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and drive growth
– Define and track team performance against specific and measurable business/customer KPIs
– Ensure continuous customer validation and satisfaction
– Support decision making of priorities and resource allocation
Candidates for the Head of Product Growth/ Product Director / Product Lead (Sports Media Publishing) role much have
– Strong product leadership experience with a media, publishing or perhaps sports betting organisation.
– Experience of Agile, Scrum and leading cross functional teams.
– Experience building world class consumer experiences across web and App platforms that attract and engage consumers.
– Experience of affiliate models.
– A strong comfort with data and use of data to make decisions.
– Very strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
– Strong experience developing business cases and prioritising initiatives.
