We are looking for a Director of Global Design Systems / Global Design Systems Director / Lead Product Designer to join a large high traffic eCommerce business which sells to millions around the world
You’ll be owning global design systems, a new team which is delivering, scaling, and refining a design language which will be at the forefront of a high-profile consumer product launch. You’ll be line managing a team of 3, whilst also being hands on as you set and refine the rules and principles which guide the organisations visual identify across different platforms
Package: £90K – £100K + bonus and benefits
Location: London (Hybrid, 1 day a week in the office)
The Director of Global Design Systems / Global Design Systems Director / Lead Product Designer will:
– Deliver, scale, and refine a best-in-class cross-platform design language
– Lead the global design systems team, being accountable for their processes and results
– Communicate expectations and plans clearly with stakeholders (including executives) and direct reports
– Be comfortable line managing as well as being hands-on
– Translate complex requirements into design roadmaps and strategies
– Deliver projects within budget and on time
The Director of Global Design Systems / Global Design Systems Director / Lead Product Designer must have:
– A portfolio which demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a strategic approach to cross-platform design
– Strong and demonstrable experience in designing cross-channel design language systems within a high traffic consumer environment (eg. groceries, fashion, travel, media, entertainment, airlines, etc)
– Demonstrable, hands-on experience showcasing design methodologies and principles
– Experience line managing a small team but also being hands-on
– Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal)
