What was your recruitment challenge?

evaluagent had a vacancy for a Product Director position. As my team were already busy recruiting for a quite a few different positions, our recruitment challenge was internal resource – we didn’t have resource and therefore the focus to dedicate finding the best Product Director candidate for our business.

This Product Director hire was crucial for us as a business, this being the first hire for our Product team at this senior level. We required a Product Director with specific sector experience and someone who was a natural leader, with previous team management experience. As with any business, we wanted to find the right candidate quickly and wanted to run this recruitment process at pace.

What made you approach / work with Intelligent People?

As a business, we normally work with external businesses that have been referred or recommended to us. In this case, as we needed a specialist product recruiter, I googled product management recruitment agencies, and we were impressed by Intelligent People being at the top of search results. I understood very quickly from their website that they were experts in the product niche.

Doug at Intelligent People was extremely responsive, and we quickly set up an initial call to discuss my recruitment needs. Doug immediately understood our sector, our business profile, and the Product Director role in detail.

We came to the initial meeting with a good understanding of the market including salary expectations, but it was good to have a specialist product recruiter sense check everything including the job description, and to make sure our offering met current candidate expectations.

We tend to work at pace, and Doug was able to keep up with that. He was able to quickly find and shortlist candidates for interview, as well as communicate feedback with candidates alongside dealing with any of our requests.

The whole process from briefing to place was complete within 2 weeks.
