Interim Head of Product Marketing

Hybrid role – London

£600- 700 day – Inside Ir35

Working for a scaling SAAS fintech business who are launching a number of new products, the Interim Head of Product Marketing / SAAS Product Marketing Director / Head of Marketing role involves leading a team of 5 to plan and deliver all go-to-market (GTM) activities.

The provide finance and payment services to small and medium businesses and merchants across all sectors. They have migrated to a Tribes and Squads model and are rapidly building and launching new services – this role will play a key part in taking these new products to market and positioning the sales teams to win.

This is a 6 month interim role, Inside IR35 (working through a compliant umbrella company), based 2-3 days per week at their London offices and party at home.

The Interim Head of Product Marketing / SAAS Product Marketing Director / Head of Marketing will:

-Work closely with senior stakeholders across product, commercial, marketing and engineering to ensure a joined-up launch framework and feedback loops are in place
-Lead a team to create product propositions that target the pain points and needs of business owners
-Oversee all go-to-market activities, producing all product branding & messaging, collateral & sales tools.
-Differentiate from the competition via effective messaging and product positioning and value statements
-Support the sales and commercial leadership team with the definition and prioritisation of product launch materials and sales collateral
-Liaise with Head of Product to agree features, go-to-market strategies and adoption campaigns
-Work with COO and operational leads to improve the in-life customer experience through product education and adoption strategies
-Brief the creative teams and work with them to execute campaigns
-Work with BI/Product Analytic teams to implement a measurement and tracking framework to manage performance/adoption on a proactive basis

Candidates for the Interim Head of Product Marketing / SAAS Product Marketing Director / Head of Marketing role must have:

-Significant SAAS, tech or Payments product marketing leadership experience with a software-driven, SAAS business.
-Strong understanding of marketing communications, campaign creation and proposition development
-Experience in insight analysis and needs-based customer segmentation techniques
-Demonstrable ability to build and lead a team
-Collaborative skills and experience of working in cross-functional teams and with stakeholders across all seniority levels
-Experience in developing targeted materials across digital and print channels
-Expertise in translating complicated/technical information into simple and concise messages
-Strong project management skills and comfortable with working to tight deadlines
-Confident public speaker with excellent presentation skills
