Working for a global travel technology business that heavily customises their software for individual implementations, the Head of Product Management / Product Lead / Product Director role involves leading a transition to become a product-led SAAS business with a more productised offering.
Initially working alone across a matrix team of project managers, business analysts, developers and designers, you’ll shape the strategy and build a product team to build the SAAS offering, introducing product management disciplines to validate and prioritise products, features and requests based on value to the customer base and commercial viability.
ESSENTIAL experience includes knowledge of travel reservation, airline booking systems or passenger notification record / PNR flows (eg Amadeus, Sabre or Navitaire).
This is fully remote role (or hybrid if preferred), working UK/European hours.
Candidates for the Head of Product Management / Product Lead / Product Director will:
- Develop high-level roadmaps in line with business growth targets and direction.
- Build a commercially-driven Product strategy in line with other company strategies.
- Managing stakeholders and communication to customers and internally.
- Introduce product management process and practices, evangelising product management across the business.
- Act as a senior IC Product Manager for key projects
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution
- Specify requirements for current and future products, working with customers and internal teams to define and refine product requirements.
- Identify and assess potential partner relationships for the products.
- Develop and manage relationships with customers, and creating forums for Customer involvement in Product discovery.
- Maintaining industry and product knowledge, and keeping up to date with market and technological trends.
- Built and lead a high performing team of product managers capable of delivering the product roadmap.
Candidates for the Head of Product Management / Product Lead / Product Director role must have:
- Strong experience as a senior product manager or product leader.
- ESSENTIAL – experience includes knowledge of travel reservation, airline booking systems or passenger notification record / PNR flows (eg Amadeus, Sabre or Navitaire).
- Full lifecycle product management experience, developing strategy through to execution and in-life.
- Experience implementing product management structure and processes.
