We are currently searching for a Head of Payment Strategy/ Director of Payment Optimisation / Head of Payment Operations for a leading global subscription-based publication business to develop and execute their payment optimisation strategy across global territories.

The Head of Payment Strategy/ Director of Payment Optimisation / Head of Payment Operations will join a very high-profile media publication business who are well known across the world for producing high quality content and insights.

Reporting into the Director of Business performance, the Head of Payment Strategy/ Director of Payment Optimisation / Head of Payment Operations’s main objective will be to develop a simple and frictionless payment process for their subscription base which already totals over one million subscribers.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days per week in their office in London.

The Head of Payment Strategy/ Director of Payment Optimisation / Head of Payment Operations will:
* Set the payment processing strategy for the entire group and work with third party payment experts to execute the strategy
* Manage third party relationships with payment service providers, verification providers, acquirers, and fraud protection, etc
* Optimise current payment processes around new customer payments, recurring payments, refunds, and chargeback across web and mobile
* Conduct detailed analysis to determine the right payment method for different territories and implement where appropriate
* Develop and produce global reports that detail key payment KPIs that provide actionable insight to the business and third parties

The Head of Payment Strategy/ Director of Payment Optimisation / Head of Payment Operations must have:

* Previous experience within a similar role (online payments, banking, payment optimisation)
* Experience working with payments for a subscription-based business would be helpful, but not essential
* Suitable management experience with the ability to motivate others
* Experience with Zuora or other subscription management platforms is a plus
* A number and reporting driven mindset for making business decisions
