Senior Product Manager

Working for a rapidly scaling fintech and software business whose products improve the lives of millions of consumers every day, the Senior Product Manager / Product Lead / Payments Product Manager will join the payments tribe to build and launch a suite of gateway products that enable their merchants to provide exceptional payments experiences to their customers.

You will lead the payments tribe to success, delivering valuable outcomes for customers and consumers that solve real problems within the retail and entertainment economy. You’ll also play a critical part in helping build and embed a strong product management discipline as your tribe grows.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in their office in central London.

The Senior Product Manager / Product Lead / Payments Product Manager will:
* Work in a cross functional team spanning engineering, design, analytics, and marketing, defining strategy and roadmap, advocating for product thinking and customer first strategy across the business
* Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to make sure that you collaboratively provide for the company’s short and long-term goals.
* Own end to end the team’s plans for building market innovative capabilities for the product, translating customer needs into deliverable strategies that are easily understood by anyone in the business
* Contribute passion and enthusiasm for the product and customers. This means understanding and sharing the customers needs so that the teams are able and inspired to help.
* Make sure that your team is constantly doing the right things, and has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support.

Own, maintain, develop and enhance products KPIs, metrics and success criteria.
The Senior Product Manager / Product Lead / Payments Product Manager must have:

* Experience of building a payment authorisation gateway (essential)
* Experience in building, managing and optimising payments systems and architecture including Gateways, Tokenisation, Recurring payments
* Love working with engineering teams, explaining the ‘why’ and working with them to define the ‘how’;
* Are passionate about payments and the FinTech space, keen to learn more and more about how payments work;
* Are customer obsessed, bringing everything back to what our customers are trying to achieve;
* Have strong communication skills, leading the product vision with strong opinions loosely held, and have the ability to build influence and credibility amongst peers. You’re just as comfortable running through an engineering plan as you are presenting high level KPIs to the exec team.
* Use data to make decisions and can build strategies around collecting and measuring metrics that reflect the success (or failure) of initiatives;
* Thrive in a fast moving and sometimes ambiguous environment, solving problems and getting their hands dirty.
