Senior Product Manager / Data Product Manager / B2B Product Manager needed by a leading publishing media company working with several clients in the FMCG / Food & Drink sector.
Reporting into the Managing Director, the Senior Product Manager / Data Product Manager / B2B Product Manager will lead the set up and lead the long-term product vision & strategy. There is huge potential for this role to expand & develop as this is the first senior product hire.
This is a multi-faceted, technical and commercial role that requires that the Senior Product Manager / Data Product Manager / B2B Product Manager to articulate the strategic “big picture”, whilst being hands-on with the finer detail of product proposition research, design, validation, analysis, delivery and management.
The Senior Product Manager / Data Product Manager / B2B Product Manager will be responsible for:
*Defining product strategy and roadmap working in conjunction with the key stakeholders
*Developing a deep understanding of the client experience, identify and fill product opportunities and gaps
*Generating new ideas that drive growth that will deliver value and a return on client’s investment
*Engaging with stakeholders and create buy in for the product vision internally, across group and key external partners
*Understanding client’s insight and data needs and business strategy to specify research solutions
*Recommending scope of existing and future products, review product objectives and specifications; apprising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
*Benchmarking and assessing market competition by comparing our products to competitors’ products
*Advising on product marketing and communication objectives
*Applying commercial acumen to initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide robust validated evidence for and building of commercially justified business cases
*Working closely with the wider business and technical development team to translate client requirements into functional specifications, manage the product backlog, conduct relevant a/b testing, proof of concept, and on-going enhancement of their products
*Continually monitor, analyse and report on product performance and continually review the client’s performance against objectives to ensure competitiveness
The Senior Product Manager / Data Product Manager / B2B Product Manager will have:
*Demonstrated success defining and launching successful digital data-led products (API knowledge/experience ideally)
*Strong presenting and communication of data, insight and industry knowledge
*A result driven, resourceful and problem-solving outlook
*Experience developing propositions across multiple data platforms/subscription models and technologies.
*Strong problem-solving skills and willing to take ownership to achieve results
*Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working in an agile working environment
*Ability to communicate, collaborate and influence effectively across all teams and with senior stakeholders.
*Strong commercial acumen, driven by curiosity beyond traditional process and ability to understand key business drivers.
*Knowledge and interest in retail, food service and hospitality sector
