A Head of eCommerce / Director of eCommerce / Head of Online Trading is required for a leading, household name Retailer, who have a fast growing and exciting eCommerce division.
The Head of eCommerce / Director of eCommerce / Head of Online Trading role will be responsible for the trading stance of the website, reflecting the business focus and supporting the online range strategy. Build and reforecast the departmental sales plans for Direct, and manage the KPI’s throughout the seasons.
The Head of eCommerce / Director of eCommerce / Head of Online Trading will:
*Work closely with planning and Merchandising to drive the range strategy for the Direct lines, including web exclusives & range expansion plans.
*Have financial planning responsibility for Direct, including building the departmental sales plans and management of KPI’s.
*Liaise with the planning and merchandising teams to ensure optimum stock levels and appropriate range selection throughout the season
*Have full responsibility for delivery of the Sales Plans, setting of P&L web budgets at fiscal year, seasonal, monthly, weekly and daily level including regular re-forecasts dependant on trade
*Be responsible for the merchandising strategy of each website, including key content focuses for home pages, gateways, and email campaigns and to ensure key products are featured, cross-sell & upsells are allocated and key customer journeys are reflected
*Work with the Digital Marketing to drive the forward planning of the marketing calendar, ensuring the plans reflect the departmental forecasts, and the company’s key product focuses
*Work closely with all buying teams to plan our key product features, themes & campaigns throughout the year
*Work closely with the Design and Development teams providing robust feedback & performance information on key features/products.
*Through analytics, identify opportunities for sales growth; including range, bestsellers, category performance and consumer behaviours
*Responsible for strong relationship with Operations team to ensure delivery on customer promise
*Responsible for continuous optimisation of websites, developing best in class approaches for product detail information, including copywriting, image selection, and sizing guides
*Ensure the stickiness of the site through the editorial features on the website, including brand stories, local editorial and external website postings.
*Reporting on end to end customer experience
*Develop, coach and manage a team of 5 whilst working closely cross functionally
Candidates for the Head of eCommerce / Director of eCommerce / Head of Online Trading role must have:
*Demonstrable, hands-on experience within eCommerce (e.g Online Trading Manager, eCommerce Manager, Web Operations Manager etc)
*Good use of web analytics tools to interrogate KPI’s including traffic, conversion, AOV and UPT.
*Great analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail
*Strong leadership skills creating motivated teams that are highly regarded
*Expertise in range planning, forecasting and trading with a strong customer and commercial awareness
*A background with online merchandising / trading and strong analytics, ideally within a fashion e-retailer
*A strong understanding of how eCommerce websites operate and function
*Have a strong creative drive, with the ability to multitask and motivate.
