We are hiring a Data Scientist for an incredibly progressive digital business in Ed Tech, part of a globally recognised consumer brand and one of the world’s largest social learning platforms.
We are seeking a sharp and commercially aware Data Scientist to develop analytical capability through scientific methods to gain deeper insight into the performance of key products and the behaviour of learners.
This is an exciting opportunity to build machine learning models that predict the performance of multiple products and our revenues.
The Data Scientist will:
*Build statistical/machine learning models to gain insights about products’ performance and user behaviour and to develop a more sophisticated ability to set pricing, forecast sales and predict long term revenue as B2C and B2B offerings are expanded.
*Develop new metrics to improve tracking performance and measure success
*Understand, interpret and communicate data-driven insights to the teams
*Supporting teams with the design, analysis and interpretation of experiments (A/B tests, pricing experimentation, email campaign etc.)
The Data Scientist must have:
*Knowledgeable in at least one of these languages/tools at intermediate level: SQL/PostgreSQL/Periscope.
*Skilled in Python, at least solid to intermediate level
*Knowledgeable in version control systems and hosting/sharing platforms such as Git/GitHub.
*Experience with classification, time series and clustering techniques.
*Knowledgeable about experimental design. You will be able to support other teams with the running of experiments (pricing, campaigns etc.).
