Working for a huge consumer services organisation who have tens of millions of customers globally, this hands-on senior SEO Manager role involves managing a small team to drive traffic/customer acquisition in the UK and globally.
The Senior Search Marketing Manager / SEO Manager / Head of SEO will manage the Search team to achieve ambitious objectives for traffic growth in a high pressure environment; be heavily involved in a new platform development, optimising it for search; monitor site traffic and market performance on a daily and long term basis; identify potential performance issues and opportunities for further development; develop strategies for growing traffic in multiple disciplines including natural search and social media; give input on all new product specifications and test all development work for optimal traffic performance; maintain an awareness of SEO best practice and test new ideas and share knowledge with other SEO staff.
Candidates for the Senior Search Marketing Manager / SEO Manager / Head of SEO role must have heavyweight hands-on Search Marketing experience in a mass consumer environment. This is a hands-on technical search role (no Agencies to manage) and candidates must be able to demonstrate a deep technical understanding of what achieves results, with demonstrable experience driving customer acquisition through search marketing. Any experience of Social Media is desirable but not essential as this can be given to another team if needed. Candidates must have first class communication and influencing skills to manage stakeholder relationships in a high pressure results oriented environment. Candidates may come from an end user consumer market (eg retail, travel services, consumer media / publishing / broadcasting, retail finance, entertainment, etc) or from an agency.
