Consumer Research and Analysis Manager / Customer Insight Manager / Business Intelligence Manager

London, £45 – £50k plus bonus and benefits

 

Working for a leading, profitable and well-funded online consumer services organization with a number of high profile brands, the Consumer Research and Analysis Manager / Customer Insight Manager / Business Intelligence Manager role involves leading a team of 3 to deliver all market research, market analysis, campaign analysis, web customer interaction analysis/web analytic and brand analysis, including developing insight based on a range of data.

 

The Consumer Research and Analysis Manager / Customer Insight Manager / Business Intelligence Manager will:

”              Drive consumer and marketing research across its portfolio of websites.

”              Ensure the marketing department, and wider business, is provided with high quality insight and research on website users, searchers and the wider UK market.

”              Lead a team of a 3 to deliver all research.

”              Ensuring the research team delivers high quality, actionable and impactful research and insight

”              Be the key driver of all quantitative research projects conducted across the business

”              Develop relationships with external data suppliers/agencies

”              Become a key source of  consumer research both internally and externally

”              Bring all qualitative research in-house, and take the lead on driving greater quality and value from qualitative research

”              Work with brand, trade, search and editorial teams to ensure the research team’s output is fully aligned with wider marketing/business objectives

”              Take responsibility for the research budget, and ensure all research carried out is cost effective and within budget

 

Candidates for the Consumer Research and Analysis Manager / Customer Insight Manager / Business Intelligence Manager role must have a numeracy based degree (or equivalent experience) and experience in both qualitative and quantitative research (a core focus of the role is to develop the department’s qualitative research offering).

 

Other requirements are:

”              web analytics data (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends)

”              Hitwise, comScore and UKOM data

”              Statistical packages (e.g. SPSS or SAS)

”              Survey tools (e.g. Confirmit)

”              Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

”              People management experience or be ready to take on this responsibility

 

Desirable experience includes:

”              Previous experience of moderating focus groups, preferably with recognised certification (desirable).

”              Experience of SQL

”              Prior experience of research projects with agencies (e.g. Toluna)
